Its capacity of seats is 15 000. The audience section is separated in half by a diazoma (an orchestra in curve ). Gladiators and animals used to fight here in the late Empire period.And it was an open air church beginning from the 5th cent to the 6th cent A.D.The middle of the 2nd cent A.D. is the date of the theatre.Together with the Temple of Athena , the Temple of Apollon is situated. It dates from 150s A.D.from Roman period.
